I’ve sometimes had that nightmare — did I stick the right nozzle in the filler? — but a gas station in Eastern Ontario took the nightmare right out of drivers’ hands recently.

An Ultramar in Prescott, Ontario just off Highway 401, the busiest highway in Canada, ended up somehow with its !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . One GM dealership has already repaired 15 cars at a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! per vehicle; don’t think there’s a total of how many vehicles have been affected by this goof.

The station is apparently going to reimburse affected owners for the repair costs (DAMN SKIPPY THEY ARE). Nevertheless, guess what station I won’t be gassing up at the next time I head to Toronto?

That’s why I usually just stop at the OnRoutes. Reliable enough, plus Timbits.

I tend to skip Ultramar unless there’s no alternative. Cheap gas, sure, but it’s known to be rather poor. Surprise! Who’d have thought the cheaper product could possibly be worse?

Anyway, one more reason to skip them
